Fit and voltage are separate answers here and they are never merged into one: fit is geometry, decided within 0.3 mm, and voltage is consequence, decided on the gap against the higher of the two nominal voltages. Neither of them answers chemistry. Rechargeable cells are never a drop-in for primary cells regardless of size; a zinc air cell begins discharging the moment its tab comes off; a device calibrated for a chemistry that holds its voltage flat will drift on one that sags. These are one manufacturer’s published nominal figures, so a cell that enters the compartment can still be the wrong cell, and a designation missing from them is missing from that catalog rather than from the world.
